I just feel like the Fall/Winter is the most amazing time for getting cozy, lighting a few candles, and running a bath so I needed to stock up on my favorites as well as try something new and I was not disappointed!

Pumpkin Patches with my Best Friend

It's officially Fall and as we get closer to giving thanks and saying trick or treat I thought it was time for Trevor and I to pay a visit to the loveliest little pumpkin patch.  With hundreds of pumpkins and twinkling lights it was the perfect place to get into the fall spirit.
So we grabbed our trolley and picked out the perfect pumpkins...
Trevor even got into the festive spirit!!!
And I gave a little twirl in my favorite Halloween dress!
We loaded up our pumpkins and brought them home and now all that's left is carving this weekend!

I'd love for you to leave a comment below with your favorite autumnal tradition :)

Turns out my mischievous kitties were trying to open doors in my house and were causing a raucous.

Vlogtober Days 2-6: It's So Much Harder Than it Looks!:

It turns out that vlogging is much more difficult than I expected it would be! Between forgetting to vlog, not doing things that are really exciting, and also feeling mildly uncomfortable pulling a camera out and filming myself in public places I'm definitely having a harder time than I expected. But I'm still carrying on and doing the best I can so I combined a few days together and shared the very best parts of the last few days!
I hope that you guys enjoy!

I'm doing Vlogtober?!

Hey guys!! This month I decided that I really wanted to challenge myself! I've been trying so hard to get back into regularly blogging but I kept finding myself forgetting or getting too busy, so I set a goal for myself... Vlog for ALL of October!
I might have aimed a little too high, and I'm quickly realizing that this might be a bite too big for me to chew, but I'm just going to go for it! I'm a few days in, and a little behind on editing/posting however I'm catching up quickly and I think this is going to be too much fun!
I hope you guys enjoy my little daily vlogs!!
P.S. who else is doing Vlogtober?!??!?!!?

Someday Summary: It's all a piece of cake...

Hi guyssssss!

Wow! I can't believe how happy it makes me to be back and writing on my blog! I can hardly wait to film a new video for my channel too!

It took me a while to get all adjusted to a full time working schedule but I think I've settled in nicely so now I can dedicate more time to writing here and posting cool pictures and videos too!

So here's a little summary of what's been going on in my life...
What's been going on with you?

❤ I joined the social media team at work & became an all-star in just my first few months! Woo!

❤ I'm SO ready for Fall / Winter! Can it just be Christmas already?

❤ My favorite song recently has been Postcards by James Blunt it's SO good

❤ I'm continually inspired by the Michalaks who have the most AMAZING YouTube Channel

❤ My favorite book I've read recently is Fieldwork by Mischa Berlinski

❤ I'm really loving my tumblr page right now it's so pretty I'll leave you a link: TUMBLR

❤ Lastly, I'd love to hear what you would like to see on the blog! Maybe some vlogs, and visiting pretty places in my town? Or hair and make up tutorials? :) I haven't decided so you tell me what you would like to see!

BTW, Sorry the picture above is such terrible quality, it was taken on my phone, but the piece of cake was so drool worthy I couldn't resist sharing it!
P.S. my sweater is from Target for those of you asking, and I'm just wearing a white collared shirt underneath, and a black skirt!

Feeling Lost in the Blogging World

Hello friends. Long time no talk? It feels as if it has been ages since I've last made a post, probably because it has been ages!

I haven't been writing here for a while because I haven't really been happy with the content.

I want to make a change, and until now I didn't know what I wanted to change.

Right now there are so many great fashion and beauty bloggers. Their blogs are just beautiful and truly look like professional magazines which is so amazing!

I really look up to all of these bloggers, I'm constantly inspired by them however, I don't necessarily want my blog to be just the same.

I started my blog so that I could document adventures, and share ideas and photos and memories and my favorite places, and have someplace to share my thoughts and somehow along the way I feel like I have gotten lost in the blogging world of OOTD's and make up reviews.

I feel like so many blogs are just about sponsors, getting free items, gaining followers, and getting big and there is so much pressure to have the perfect blog.

But I really want my blog to be different than that! I still want to share my favorite outfits, and products but I also want to remember all of my favorite days in videos and photos right here on my blog.

I love the process of writing out my thoughts in a blog post, and I love taking pictures, and creating videos and sharing them here, and making new friends in the blogging world, but I think somewhere along the way in the last year I've stopped enjoying the content I've been writing about.

So I'm going to make a change. Thank you so much to everyone that has read my blog in the last year and left such lovely comments to me. I've made the nicest friends here and I love the community we all have. But I hope you don't mind that moving forward I want to make this a place that is a little more special and homely.

I want to share with you guys my favorite ways to spend Sunday afternoons, and my Mom's delicious chocolate chip cookie recipes.

I also want to share vlogs of my favorite days out, and secrets spots to visit from where ever I travel!

Plus much much more :)

I hope you all don't mind this little renovation on my blog and I also hope that you might enjoy more of my posts as I start sharing some of my favorite things!  Thank you again to all of you who have been so lovely to me.  I hope you guys like what comes next :)

Someday Summary!

Hello everyone! It's been a little while! I took a little break last week as the last month or so has been filled with so many product reviews! As much as I enjoy sharing with you guys my finds and products that I'm loving I wanted to do something different and it's taken me a little while to figure out what I thought this blog was missing. There's two major components that I want to bring back here to the blog and that is lookbooks and lifestyle posts! So today I was inspired by the gorgeous Rachel from Rachel Coco to do a someday summary!
So this is what I have been up to recently
❤ I've been to see Cinderella twice. It was seriously so beautiful I love it!
❤ I've finally gotten a job!
I've been reading so many good books! I especially love Paper Towns by John Green
❤ I spent my birthday on the island Catalina kayaking with my amazing boyfriend Trevor
❤ I'm getting so excited for Spring and Summer to come!
❤ My obsession is Grey's Anatomy! What show should I watch next?
❤ I'm feeling really happy and inspired lately!

Perfect Summer SkinCare!!

In the summertime I always change up my skin routine as I want a lightweight feel and flawless skin.  I even featured these products on my monthly favorites in February as I think they will be perfect in these summer months. The Super City Block SPF 40 BB Cream is so light on your skin while also giving decently good coverage. And most importantly it has an SPF of 40 which I love because then I don't need to do an extra step for sunscreen in the morning. I also love the Clinique Acne Solutions concealer as not only does it give perfect coverage for spots but it also helps to heal them with the solution in it!

Dry Bar Mudslide Nourishing Hair Mask!

Recently I've been looking for a deep conditioning hair mask to treat my hair too that would give my hair that extra boost to shine! I found this one from Dry Bar. Before this I haven't tried very many of Dry Bar's products but I decided to give it a go! And oh my do these products smell uh-mazing.  I've only used it a few time but it makes my hair feel smoother and shinier.  Overall I think it does help my hair but if nothing else it makes your hair smell SO good!!

Dry Bar's 100 Proof Treatment Oil

I promise this is the last Dry Bar treatment oil I will be featuring for a while. This is the 100 Proof treatment oil which creates shine and seals ends to eliminate frizz and flyaways! I love this product because it just helps relax my hair and sooth it. By just using a tiny pump of this product through the lengths of my hair it feels so much smoother. I've used this product both when it is wet and dry! As long as you don't use too much, it adds plenty of shine and softness.
Are there any treatment oils you prefer or love?

Dry Bar's Mai Tai Sea Salt Spritzer!

Ahh more Dry Bar!! I think I have an obsession!! All of these products just smell SO good!! This is by far one of my favorite products its the Mai Tai Sea Salt Spritzer! I love using this spray for such a variety of different looks! This spray literally makes any hairstyle look just a little bit better! So far I have used it on my natural air dried hair which has given it more texture and body and shape! I've also used it on curled hair and this spray helps loosen the curls while also giving them more body and a more beachy look. Lastly I've used this spray when I straighten my hair and I love it because it helps separate each strand and gives it a slightly more tousled look!
I think this is the perfect spray for a beachy laid back look and I can't wait to use it this Spring/Summer!
What is your favorite sea spray?

Hot Toddy Dry Bar Heat Protector & Frizz Fighter

Another Dry Bar product I have been loving today! This is the Hot Toddy Heat Protector and Frizz Fighter.  It is so important to protect hair from heat damage when you are using things like blowdryers, straightners, and curling irons! I hate the idea of putting direct heat on my hair with no guard in between it so I have been testing out this heat protector. I don't know if I will see immediate results with this as far as the health of my hair but I think over time I will see it get healthier if I'm not damaging it with hot tools! However my hair has definitely had less frizz since I have started using this product which I appreciate a lot! Do you have any heat protectors you can recommend?

Chloé Eau De Parfum Roll on Fragrance!

With Spring rolling around I have been looking for a new fragrance as I always love testing out new perfumes! I caught a whiff of this amazing scent as I was walking out of Sephora and immediately fell in love.  Chloé fragrances can be quite pricey and so I decided to test the scent out with a roll on size! This is the perfect size for me because it fits easily in any of my bags and is a little more price friendly. This scent is gorgeous and it smells so amazing!
What is your favorite scent?

My Favorite February Reads!

In February I read two books that I absolutely loved. One being the Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and the other From Notting Hill with Love... Actually by Ali McNamara. The Red Queen I managed to finish in a matter of hours from the time I picked it up as I was immediately enthralled. It is a teen novel about a different world where a girl gets brought to an elite society with supernatural abilities and before she knows it she becomes the face of a revolution. The story reminds me of books like the Hunger Games and The Selection. Its full of different twists and turns but all in all is a pretty good story!  The next book From Notting Hill with Love... Actually is a story about a woman who winds up house sitting in Notting Hill where she comes across her very own love story! It is light hearted and sweet and a really lovely story!
What are your favorite books at the moment? I would love to hear any recommendations as I am always looking for a good new story!

Lush Retread Conditioner

For as long as I can remember my hair has been out of control with curls and frizz! Last year I began transitioning to more natural hair products because I loved knowing and being able to recognize the products I was putting on my hair. Retread has made such a difference in my hair. Filled with ingredients like avocado oil, olives, fresh melons, yogurt, and jojoba oil it is so richly conditioning and smoothing.  In the last year my hair has become so much healthier, smoother, and shinier.
Previously my hair was so damaged and brittle and now my hair is finally feeling healthier and stronger. What are your favorite products for your hair?

Too Faced Melted Long Wear Lipstick!

For ages I have been searching for the perfect rosy colored lipstick. I have tried quite a few different shades looking for the perfect one but this is it. Before now I haven't tried many Too Faced products but I loved the packaging of this product and the color looked really beautiful! I'm not much of a fan of the nude lip color trend that has been so popular in the last year but I do love the idea of lipsticks that have a more natural look to them. My lips tend to be more rosy tinted but I wanted to find a shade would have a little more color. This is the shade Melted Fig and it is absolutely stunning.  I also love the Too Faced Melted lipsticks because the color is super buildable. Applying it lightly gives lips the rosy tint while a thicker application gives a full lipstick look.
Have you tried a Too Faced melted Lipstick? What is your favorite shade?

Lush Grass Shower Gel!

Recently I took a trip to Lush and picked up the Lush Grass Shower Gel. At first I didn't think I would like the smell as it is packed with wheatgrass and neroli and I thought it would be too strong but when the lovely ladies at Lush mixed it with my all time favorite shower gel Olive Branch I couldn't help but love it!  It is so lovely and refreshing and is the perfect uplifting scent to start your day.  Wheatgrass and neroli have amazing qualities for your skin as well. Wheatgrass specifically is full of enzymes, vitamins, and minerals for your skin.  Alone I still find this scent too strong for me, but with the gentle scent of the Olive Branch I really love it!

Hourglass Modernist Palette!

How gorgeous is this palette? This month Hourglass released their new Modernist Shadow palettes. The moment I saw this palette I fell in love. The shades are absolutely gorgeous and I love the intricate design and packaging.  I really like the beautiful chocolate packaging and large mirror but of course the shades are the best part. Hourglass released 7 different Modernists palettes but I was most attracted to the set Monochrome. Each palette features 5 shades with a mix of matte, satin, and shimmer. Each shade is highly pigmented and although it is powder is has a creamy smooth texture.  Although I am still really attached to my Naked 3 Palette this comes in as a close second and it is definitely easier to bring around in your make up bag!

Clinique Chubby Sticks!

Hello everyone! Meet my new obsession my Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint in the shade 03 Budding Blossom. I think by now everyone has had a Clinique Chubby Stick and loved it but I have never gotten around to picking one up myself especially since they area a bit pricey. But with how warm the weather has been recently my lips have been so dry and I have been in desperate search for some kind of relief. I am already a huge fan of the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer for my skin and so I decided to try this for my lips.
And now I can see what all of the fuss is about. It is so smooth and moisturizing and immediately hydrates my lips when I apply it. I also find this color refreshing and beautiful. I think it both suits Winter and Summer as it is so light.
What is your favorite shade of Chubby Sticks?

Adorable Benefit Mirror Gift with Purchase!

How adorable is this mirror?! Last week when I was shopping for new products Benefit had an offer for a gift with purchase! Along with this adorable mirror came several samples including a mini Porefessional Primer, a Rose Tint cheek and lip stain, and a They're Real mascara!
I just think this mirror is so sweet and perfect for your handbag or for travel! I love that it is so big and can sit itself up but its also super light!
I absolutely love it and if you get the chance be sure to pick one up before its gone!!

Benefit Hervana Blush | My Go To Blush this Spring!

If you read my post yesterday you will know that I am looking forward to Spring to begin! I can't wait for Spring and Summer fashion and I love the lightweight and easy make-up trends that come along with it! While I was at Benefit over the weekend I also purchased the Hervana blush. I liked this blush because I thought the swirl of colors was really beautiful and I was interested in the purple tones that were mixed with the soft nudes and pinks. I've never really looked at Benefit blushes before because I found the packaging a little bit annoying because it is so bulky but when I saw this one I couldn't help myself!
The ladies at Benefit kindly helped me and told me that with the purple tones this blush would suit my skin as I tend to have really red skin! The purple would help soften the redness and help me accomplish the blush that I'm looking for rather than adding more redness with a more pink blush!
It seemed to make sense to me and aside from the bulky packaging I absolutely adore this blush already. It applies really smoothly and is a beautiful color!
If you have red or more pink blushing skin I would love to hear your recommendations for a blush that might have more purple tones in it to offset the redness! Otherwise I think you might really like it!

Big Easy Benefit BB Cream!

With the promise of Spring approaching I am already keen to embrace a laid back summer inspired make-up routine. While a lot of the world is still experiencing storms and snow it has been so hot here at home and I can't help but want to wear as little make-up as possible!
With that in mind over the weekend I went to get my eyebrows done at the Brow Bar in Benefit and I came across the Big Easy BB Cream by Benefit. I love BB creams especially in the Spring and Summer when I can't bother myself with applying a heavy loaded foundation everyday!  The Big Easy BB Cream caught my eye as it is 'liquid to powder' product. As my skin tends to be oily I look for BB creams that will have this effect because it won't leave my skin looking too shiny so I won't have to bother with a heavy powder afterwards.
Another quality I love with this BB cream is that it has an SPF of 35 which cancels one more step in my morning skin routine which is ideal for me on those lazy days!
A few other qualities the Big Easy BB Cream has includes balancing moisture and controlling oil production on your skin which I think sounds amazing, it is supposed to even out skin texture, and it even self adjusts to exact skin tones!
My color is the shade 01 in Fair and I already love using this product in my skin routine. It is so easy to use and buildable in places you still need a little more coverage. I use this product with a foundation brush but if you would like a little more coverage you can use your fingers which will give slightly stronger coverage.
I am actually getting quite excited for Spring and Summer although I wouldn't mind a break from this heat! If you have a  favorite BB Cream you love or another product you are looking forward to getting back into this Spring/Summer I would love to hear what they are in the comments below!

February Ipsy Glam Bag!

One of my favorite times of the month! It is Ipsy Glam Bag time! This month I absolutely fell in love with my Glam Bag! To start this month's bag is so cute! I love the February Valentine's inspired products!
My absolute favorite product this month is the Luxie 504 Large Angled Brush. I love the baby pink brush and rose gold metal holding. The brush hairs are so beautiful and soft and I am so happy that I can add it to my collection of make up brushes!
I also received a Model Co Cosmetics blush in the shade Peach Bellini. The color is absolutely stunning and has a slight gold shimmer undertone. It feels so creamy and smooth and I am so excited to use this through the Spring.
Next in the bag is the City Color Creamy Lip Stain. It is a really lovely rosy nude color. I like it because it is really long lasting and lightweight!
I also received a Joy a Studio fragrance in the scent No. 1 the scent was okay, but isn't my absolute favorite. I like it but I don't think I would purchase a full size.
Lastly this month I received a Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil. I really don't like the smell of this oil but from what I have read online,  it should have really amazing hydrating and soothing qualities for skin.
Every month I love receiving my Ipsy bag but this month has been one of my favorites so far!

My Favorite Make-Up Brushes!

Hello everyone! Isn’t it amazing what great make-up brushes can do for your make-up? I can never help myself from buying a new brush they are just so fresh and pretty! So today I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite brushes. Now I don’t know if I necessarily use these brushes the right way they are supposed to be used but they work for me pretty well so I thought I would share them with you.
I do have a range in brushes ranging from more high end M.A.C. brushes to moderate price brushes from Real Techniques. So lets get started!

  1. The Real Techniques Contour Brush: Now this brush was made for contouring but I have started using this brush for foundation. I like it because the bristles are rounded at the end which makes it perfect for getting the foundation blended all over your face. It can fit into the little parts of your face like the side of your nose or around your eyes.
  2. The Real Techniques Buffing Brush: This brush is made for buffing which I’m not sure exactly what that is! So I just use it for my powder. I love this brush because it is dense enough to give great coverage! And it is so soft!!
  3. The Real Techniques Blush Brush: For once I’m using the right brush for the right make-up. This is a great brush because it has a really light touch for applying blush not too strong and blending gently into your skin.
  4. The M.A.C. 100 Brush: I love this angled contour brush. It has really soft bristles and is perfect for both contouring and highlighting.
  5. The M.A.C. 224 Brush: I love this brush for blending my eyeshadow as well as applying highlighter to under my brow line.
  6. The M.A.C. 212 Brush: I use this brush for doing a smoky eyeliner along my lash line.
  7. The Nickak New York Blending Eye Shadow Brush: I love using this for blending smoky looks in the crease of my eye.
  8. The Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Brush: I just love using these brushes in general for whatever eye shadows I’m using. It’s super nice quality and blends the eyeshadows really beautifully.
What're your favorite make up brushes?

Topshop Lipstick | My Favorite Color: Innocent

Hi guys! The other day I took a quick trip shopping at Nordstrom and made my way to my favorite department! Topshop! When I made my way to the front I found the counter holding Topshop make-up. Before now I’ve never gotten a chance to try Topshop make-up as none of the shops have ever sold them so I was so excited to try something! I picked out the Topshop Lipstick in the color Innocent. It is kind of a mauve dusty pink color.  I think it can create so many beautiful looks from everyday casual make up looks to sophisticated and sweet night looks. I didn’t know how much I would love it only because I didn’t know what Topshop quality would be like but it is so lovely. It is really creamy and moisturizing and now I want to try so many other colors!

What is your favorite Topshop lipstick? :)

Treat Jars!

Hello everyone! Today I’m just writing a quick post, I couldn’t help but share with you these ADORABLE jars!  I was shopping at Target and found these in the $3 section. I thought these were such a great deal and adorable for my pantry. I filled these jars with treats like cookies and my favorite cereal. But I think they would also be great to hold make-up products, office supplies, and other foods.
What's your favorite ways to store treats?

The Guide to Flawless Skin!

Hello! Today I wanted to share with you guys my skincare routine I’ve adapted in the New Year. Following finals as I was wrapping up my degree and getting ready to move home through the holidays I felt like my skin was a mess. It was really dry and I had several spots that made me feel super self-conscious and uncomfortable.

I’ve watched Zoella’s videos for a long time now and I’ve often taken cues from her in her personal skincare regimen as I seem to have similar skin problems to her.
Between her recommendations as well as many other bloggers recommendations and hundreds of reviews on these products I was very excited to see what results these products would have for my skin. The three products I’ve grown to swear by is the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, the Sunday Riley Good Genes serum, and the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer.
I was both eager and apprehensive to try the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. Although I read nothing but raving reviews, it seemed really strange to cleanse my face and remove make-up with a balm. However I am absolutely in love with it. The balm has the consistency of Vaseline which you apply with barely damp hands. It easily removes all make-up including mascara and is accompanied with a muslin cloth that gently exfoliates your skin as you dry it off.  My skin feels so clean and clear! Even cleaner than when I am using my Clarisonic.  It is a little bit expensive, but it comes in a pretty large pot and I think it lasts quite a long time.
The Sunday Riley Good Genes serum is probably the single best product I have ever put on my skin. The serum is designed to fade hyper pigmentation, reduce fine lines, and plump your skin. It is extremely brightening and smoothing and the moment I use it I see a difference in my skin.
The Clinique Moist Surge moisturizer has been a long time favorite of mine but I had never know that a thicker application of the product can double as a moisturizing mask! This alone has turned my skin around as it is no longer dry or peeling. Before bed I apply a thick layer to my face and neck and leave it for the entire night.
These are the products I absolutely cannot live with out in my skin routine that have turned my skin around. My skin is brighter, moisturized, and clearer. Some of the products are more expensive but to me clear skin is worth the cost! You can find Clinique products at most department stores as well as beauty shops like Sephora. And I purchased the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm and the Sunday Riley Good Genes skin treatment from Amazon!
What's your skin care routine?

Design Your Workspace | Increase Your Productivity!

Hello! Today I’ve decided to share with you just a small corner of my workspace. I have just finished my first college program at FIDM receiving my AA in Fashion Design. And right now I am in a bit of a transitional period. I am searching for a job, as well as preparing to apply for schools to continue my education, and also write this blog!  Oh and of course also run my YouTube channel.  All in all it is really important for me to manage my time and stay extremely organized so that I can get everything done!

The best way I have been able to remain focused and productive has been by creating a work space that is clean and organized. I try to keep this area really tidy as it is where I get a lot of work done and when it is too messy it is hard for me to focus! Here are just a few of the things I have on my desk!
  1. BKR silicone glass water bottle! It is important to stay hydrated!
  2. My laptop & phone! To stay up to date on my social medias! And also look for a job!
  3. Several notebooks for jotting down ideas! And of course matching pens!
  4. In the back I have a file holder to keep any important papers organized
  5. And then I just have a framed photo of me and my boyfriend

My desk space is a work in progress that I want to continually change and add to but right now I am so happy with it. And I think having an aesthetically pleasing work place increases my productivity so much as it inspires my work!!

On the Go Blogger | The Perfect Blogging & Vlogging Camera!

Hello! Today I’m sharing with you my new biggest obsession! As I mentioned in my post sharing my first ever vlog on my YouTube channel, my boyfriend Trevor gave me a vlogging camera for Christmas! I was beyond excited as I have been wanting to dip my toes into vlogging for a while but always found it impossible with my hefty DSLR.  It was one of the biggest surprises ever!

So this is the Canon S110 and it’s the perfect camera for anyone who wants to start vlogging or even just want a great digital camera.  Aside from taking incredible videos, it also takes really beautiful photos.  Being a blogger who is always on the go I have often had to resort to using my iPhone for a camera as I haven’t been able to bring my heavy DSLR around with me. So this camera has been absolutely amazing.
The camera is touchscreen and can be manually focused. It is super lightweight and compact. And overall it is just really simple to use.
I am so excited to be able to capture more and more moments on the go and I’m even more excited to start vlogging more!!

Guide to Perfect Brows | The Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you one of the biggest beauty obsessions I’ve had through 2014 and into the New Year. And that, is the Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil.  In the last couple of years it has become every beauty lover’s dream to have perfectly full and shaped eyebrows but unfortunately for some of us it doesn’t come naturally.
Whether you are a victim of over plucking in the past, you’re eyebrows are too fair, or they just don’t have the shape you want, you can help make them look fuller and expertly sculpted with the Anastasia Brow Pencil.
This has been the most amazing pencil I’ve ever used for my eyes. Previously I was always intimidated by the idea of coloring my eyebrows as I see plenty of eyebrows gone wrong situations walking around town but as I’ve learned different tricks and techniques I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with filling them in!

This is the simplest pencil to use as it has a really fine tip that makes each stroke look like real hairs. Now these are just a few of the tricks I’ve learned using this pencil that I thought I could share with you!
  1. Use light brush strokes that are quite short to imitate the look of real hair
  2. Avoid drawing drastic or harsh lines in your brows that can look to painted on
  3. If you need help with shaping your brows, consider by the Anastasia Brow Stencils that can help you create the best shape!
These are just a few of the tips I’ve learned while using this pencil and I’ve grown to absolutely love it and I really don’t use anything else!

January Ipsy Glam Bag!!

Hey guys! It’s Ipsy Glam Bag time again! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now then you know that each month I receive an Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail that consists of a new make-up bag and 4 to 5 products to sample. I absolutely adore receiving these in the mail as it is always like a little gift to myself and the perfect time to try new products!

This month I received a blue and white bag with an orange zipper. And although I think it is totally sweet I do find it a little summery and was surprised to receive it as the January bag.
However inside I absolutely adore the products. This month I received the Hey Honey Take it Off exfoliating face mask. This product is so refreshing and different from other masks I’ve tried as it is a peel off mask. It smells amazing and made my skin feel so moisturized and soft.
Next I received a lipgloss from Velvet 59 by Paris Manning in the color Noisette. This is a stunning nude gloss that is the loveliest color. However it is quite sticky, and honestly I really don’t love sticky lip glosses. But the color is really beautiful for people who don’t mind a sticky lipgloss.
There is also a liquid eyeliner from Coastal Scents. I’ve never heard of this brand but the brush applicator is amazing and super fine and is perfect for a dramatic cat eye look.
Lastly I received a beautiful eye shadow from the brand Pacifica in the shade etherial that is entirely natural and infused with coconut oil for a velvet finish. The color is really beautiful and just slightly shimmery. It is really really beautiful.
Overall I really like all of the products I received in this month’s bag however overall I really think their theme is pushing for a really summery look which I find interesting. Have any tried Ipsy Glam Bags?

One Minute Eye Make-Up!

Hi everyone!! Do you ever wake up incredibly late for work or school? Or do you even have days where you wake up and just want 10 extra minutes to sleep? Well I have two products that I now swear by that give me bright and awake eyes and don't take up any of my precious sleep time!

The first product that I absolutely adore is the Benefit Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow in the color R.S.V.P. This product is super easy to apply, you can just use the tip of your finger and it instantly brightens your eyes and makes you look much more awake! This product blends really easily, and after just adding a layer of mascara your eyes are complete!
The second product that I love alternatively is the Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Eye Shadow. This is another eye product with super easy application. It has a wand attached to the cap and can be lightly blended with the tip of your finger.  This product is amazing as it has primer and sunscreen infused in the formula and also plumps fine lines. It is really beautifully pigmented and instantly gives your eyes a fresh and awake image. Again just add a swoosh of mascara and you're ready for the day!
Buy the Benefit Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow at Sephora! and you can buy the Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Eye Shadow at Sephora!

The Only Palette I'l Ever Need | Naked 3

Hello everyone! For the longest time I have resisted purchasing any of the Naked palettes. As much as I admired them,  I found them to be a bit pricey and I honestly didn't want to buy into all of the hype.
However, as time has passed I've found myself reading more and more reviews on the palettes and wanting one for myself! By Christmas I was aching to get my hands on the Naked 3 palette and it just so happened that Santa had brought me a surprise!

My Urban Decay palette of choice was the Naked 3 which consists of 12 rose gold themed shadows in a beautiful rose gold tin package.  This palette has 9 shimmer shadows and 3 matte shades that can be combined for a beautiful wide range of looks from natural barely there make-up to dramatic smokey looks.

I have used all of these shades so much in the last few weeks that I have barely used any other eyeshadows, but I thought I could share with you some of my favorite combinations that I use the most!
For a barely there make up look: On your eyelid use Limit (fourth shade) along your crease use Nooner (seventh shade) and use Strange (first shade) for a highlight on the inside corner of your eye and under your brow.
TIP: if you want to move this look from day to night use BlackHeart (twelfth shade) along your lash line for a smokey liner. Also feel free to add a little sparkle by patting in Dust (second shade) or Buzz (fourth shade) to really make your eyes pop!!
So there you go! I am absolutely obsessed with this palette I think it is really flattering and can especially make blue eyes pop! However all three of the Naked palettes are absolutely beautiful and which ever one suits your skin tone will be the best for you! If you are interested, you can pick up any of the three Naked palettes at Sephora!

Pining Away | The Perfect Day Escape!

Hello everyone! How was everyone’s weekend? This weekend my cousin and I decided to head to the mountains for a day of exploring and attempting to find a bit of snow for sledding in the mountains!
Last week was a tough one and by Saturday I was aching for an escape. We took a break, and went to play in the snow! But our trip didn’t turn out exactly as planned. In fact we never really made it to our final destination but on our way we made it an amazing day! We made plenty of stops taking in breathtaking views, singing all the way up the mountain, and even making our own snowman! (Well, kind of!)
As far as my outfit goes,  I was really inspired by one of my favorite bloggers and vloggers Hannah Maggs . I loved her styling of fur vests and maroon sweaters and aimed for a similar look! My sweater is from Topshop, while my vest is from Victoria's Secret, and my jeans are from Paige Denim! And I love my booties from Topshop! If you haven't checked out Hannah's channel yet, then I highly recommend it as her and her husband as well as their adorable baby Gracyn are my favorite family on the internet.

Sometimes taking a day away, being somewhere out of service from your phone, or simply turning it off for a couple of hours and enjoying the outdoors can be the perfect cure to a lousy week! Take a moment to step back and get some fresh air, spend some quality time with a best friend, and don't forget to have a little boogie!

I hope you guys have the best week!
