Sunday in the City

Jacket: Topshop, Cable Knit Sweater: Free People, Cuffed Pants: BDG, Messenger Bag: Jesslyn Blake, Red Wing Tips: B.P., Banded Watch: La Mer

Oh how I love waking up on a Sunday feeling accomplished from a productive night to a cloudy morning with nothing on my agenda but a trip to Starbucks in a cozy sweater and an appointment with my favorite book curled up on the couch!  On Friday I talked about how stressful this weekend was going to be with all the work I had to do and I really did have so much work!  But yesterday morning I woke up early determined to accomplish everything I needed to do and got straight to work! At 2 I started working on a pattern drafting project sewing a dress and creating patterns and continued working until about 3 in the morning!  Working that hard and getting so much done was invigorating and energizing which I know sounds absolutely mental but I was just so proud of myself and the work I got done!  And knowing that today I would get the entire day off with nothing to stress about made everything worth it!  I hope everyone has a relaxing day off before the new week begins!

Finally Friday...

Jacket: Free People, Dress: Topshop, Shoes:Jeffrey Cambell, Bag: Jesslyn Blake

Ahh it is finally Friday!  I finished my internship for the week and I don't have any more classes so it's time to relax! Nooooot!  This will probably be one of my busiest weekends at school yet!  To say my professors piled on the homework is an understatement and I'm also trying to keep up with my outfit posts and other blog posts!  Today was more of a casual day as I was up early for my internship and have been out all day!  The rest of my weekend will be taken up with homework but I'm going to try to do a regular post tomorrow as well as my outfit posts for the rest of the weekend!  I hope you guys have a more relaxing weekend than I will have! Ooh La la!

Dress: Band of Gypsies, Shoes: Jeffrey Cambell

Another day in sunny Los Angeles!  How I love this city!  With the continuation of this heat wave it was necessary to dive into the depths of my closet to find something that could keep me cool and I stumbled upon this Band of Gypsies dress.  I threw on my favorite colorful Jeffrey's, a few headbands and a stack of rings and I was ready for the day! Although I'm lucky to have the hot sun in January I wouldn't mind a little bit of rain!  Or even just a couple of clouds!  How am I ever going to get to wear my favorite cozy sweaters?! Go checkout this look on my lookbook : here!!  Have a lovely day guys!!

Just a Little Wednesday Chat...

Hat: Topshop, Dress: Topshop, Boots: Dolce Vita

Hi guys, today has been such an odd day... Nothing horribly wrong has happened, the world isn't ending or anything like that but I'm just not feeling my usual cheery self.  Do you guys ever have those kind of days?  Well, despite my rubbish day I did quite like what I wore today and so I thought I could still share it with you guys.  I still have to head to a late class tonight which does not add to my less than cheery mood but I just wanted to really quickly tell you about the new lipstick I tried out.  I picked this lipstick up at M.A.C. the other day the color is Stunned Kiss and I think it is the perfect winter red color!   I hope you guys had a lovely day and hopefully I can turn my day around after class with a little Lush treat ! yum!

Happy Monday...

Dress: Mink Pink, Heels: Rachel Zoe
As Los Angeles is currently in a heat wave that makes me feel like I'm in the Sahara dessert I thought it was only proper for me to pull out my favorite new dress from Mink Pink for the day!  As you can see this dress makes me quite chipper with its playful colors and feminine silhouette.  I paired it with my favorite Rachel Zoe heels and had a great day off before starting my school week tomorrow! I hope you guys had an amazing start to the beginning of your week and lets all hope that this week will fly by to the weekend!  Have a lovely day guys!!

Getting into the Swing of Things...

Blazer : Zara, Sweater: Topshop, Leggings: Zara, Boots: Jeffrey Cambell, Bag: Jesslyn Blake

Christmas break is over and it's time to get back to work!  I had the most amazing much needed break spending time with the people who are important to me, getting lots of sleep, and just getting recharged for the new year!  It's always hard when the break is over and you have to say goodbye to lazy days and sleeping in and get back into the habit of early morning coffee and late night projects, but this week has been really exciting for me!  Apart from starting all my classes which are amazing, I also started my internship this week at a company and have been doing trend research as well as working in the distribution department for some of their orders! Now that I am back to school and classes have started I can get back into the groove of blogging! Don't worry I haven't forgotten about my New Year's goals quite yet!  This quarter my classes include; History of Costume, Fabric I.D., Sketching, Pattern Drafting, and Computer Aided Design.  I'll keep you guys updated have a lovely day guys!

My first post of 2014...

Reflecting on 2013 I have had an amazing year.  I have travelled the world, started this blog, moved out on my own, met so many new friends, and found someone who means the world to me.  I have been so lucky in every aspect of my life.  And I'm hoping that 2014 can bring me as much good fortune as 2013...  So just a few things I hope to improve on this coming year...

Number 1.   Enjoy more food!  Don't get me wrong i eat plenty, just wait to see me at In n Out... But what I mean is that I want to start cooking more, and eating at home rather than grabbing take out or just heating something up in the microwave.  I really enjoy the whole process of cooking I just never make time for it.  So in 2014 I hope to make more time for the kitchen and take the time to try new recipes and eat some healthier foods!

Number 2.  Blog better.  I have only been working on this blog for a couple months but I already love it.  But now that the New Year is started I  want to make it a goal to make a post at least 2 times a week not including my regular outfit posts.  I have a lot of ideas of what I want to write about in the New year and I'm ready to get to it!

Number 3.  Adventure adventure adventure.   I live in one of the greatest cities in the world but I get so focused on school and everything I am doing that I don't take enough time to explore this city.  I also want to travel more this year because I had an amazing trip in 2013.

So hopefully I can keep to these goals, I'd love to hear your guy's resolutions or New Year's goals so comment below and let me know! Have a lovely beginning to 2014!
